North Carolina law requires political committees to report the name, address, job title or profession, and the name of the employer or the employer’s specific field for individuals contributing in excess of $100 in an election cycle. Individual contributions may not exceed $4000 for the general election. Contributions from corporations and foreign nationals are strictly prohibited. Contributions to political committees are not tax deductible for federal and state income tax purposes.
